COOPER NICHOLAS ARRIVED

MY DEAR FRIEND TAWNA IS A GRANDMA AGAIN AND SWEET DORIS IS A GREAT
GRANDMA.....(and I am still waiting....lol)
BRANDON, WHAT A HANDSOME, RESPONSIBLE, LOVING MAN YOU HAVE BECOME.
YOU ALWAYS HELD A SPECIAL PLACE IN MY HEART AND I HAVE PRAYED FOR
YOU EVERY DAY YOU SPEND IN IRAQ.
CONGRATULATIONS ON THE ARRIVAL OF YOUR HANDSOME SON. I KNOW, WITH
YOU AS HIS DADDY, HE WILL GROW UP INTO A FINE, LOVING MAN.

Little Boy's Explanation of God -- Fabulous!!! - Out of the mouths of the Babes-- I certainly don't think an adult could explain this more beautifully! THIS IS FABULOUS!!!It was written by an 8-year-old named Danny Dutton, who lives in Chula Vista , CA . He wrote it for his third grade homework assignment, to 'explain God.' I wonder if any of us could have done as well?[ ... And he had such an assignment, in California , and someone published it, I guess miracles do happen ! ... ]EXPLANATION OF GOD:'One of God's main jobs is making people. He makes them to replace the ones that die, so there will be enough people to take care of things on earth. He doesn't make grownups, just babies. I think because they are smaller and easier to make. That way he doesn't have to take up his valuable time teaching them to talk and walk. He can just leave that to mothers and fathers.''God's second most important job is listening to prayers.. An awful lot of this goes on, since some people, like preachers and things, pray at times beside bedtime. God doesn't have time to listen to the radio or TV because of this. Because he hears everything, there must be a terrible lot of noise in his ears, unless he has thought of a way to turn it off.''God sees everything and hears everything and is everywhere which keeps Him pretty busy.. So you shouldn't go wasting his time by going over your mom and dad's head asking for something they said you couldn't have.''Atheists are people who don't believe in God. I don't think there are any in Chula Vista . At least there aren't any who come to our church..''Jesus is God's Son. He used to do all the hard work, like walking on water and performing miracles and trying to teach the people who didn't want to learn about God. They finally got tired of him preaching to them and they crucified him But he was good and kind, like his father, and he told his father that they didn't know what they were doing and to forgive them and God said O.K.''His dad (God) appreciated everything that he had done and all his hard work on earth so he told him he didn't have to go out on the road anymore. He could stay in heaven. So he did. And now he helps his dad out by listening to prayers and seeing things which are important for God to take care of and which ones he can take care of himself without having to bother God. Like a secretary, only more important.''You can pray anytime you want and they are sure to help you because they got it worked out so one of them is on duty all the time.' 'You should always go to church on Sunday because it makes God happy, and if there's anybody you want to make happy, it's God!Don't skip church to do something you think will be more fun like going to the beach. This is wrong. And besides the sun doesn't come out at the beach until noon anyway.''If you don't believe in God, besides being an atheist, you will be very lonely, because your parents can't go everywhere with you, like to camp, but God can. It is good to know He's around you when you're scared, in the dark or when you can't swim and you get thrown into real deep water by big kids.''But...you shouldn't just always think of what God can do for you. I figure God put me here and he can take me back anytime he pleases.And...that's why I believe in God.'

  1. Dear Deb, That is the most beautiful story told by a young person I have ever read. I needed that this morn. I was wondering about the cookout and hoping it went better. I am so sorry.
I see what time you are posting, so I know you are not getting enough sleep. Please try to rest more. Amy is in God's hands now and all we can do is pray she doesn't suffer to much and that God will take care of her. You need to rest and eat properly. I am praying for all of you, but you already know that.

I send you my saying I found by an unknown author, that I try to live by when things get in a turmoil.....

DO NOT BE AFRAID OF TOMORROW, FOR GOD IS ALREADY THERE.

I sent you an email earlier....

    Love, Barbara

  6. So sad that Amy had a terrible migraine and missed most of the cookout. But the cookout was held, and it was something Amy wanted. Maybe another cookout later when the meds get stabilized? The throwing up has me worried. It's so hard on the body. It can drive a person mad. I hate cancer with all my strength, I just hate it, and it makes me really angry feeling. Are the hospice nurses helpful? I pray they are, I pray for really good ones to help take care of Amy, pray for you, for your husband and son, for Sammy, for your dad, your mother, and #1 for Amy. AMY who is a precious jewel on this earth. And all of her friends and family near and far.

  9. G'morn Deb (the bread of the sandwich) ~

Sorry that Amy was not able to enjoy her dinner with the friends. I know how you all were anticipating such a special moment together. I think of you all constantly & lift prayers.

This is so wonderful that Dad came over & was able to return & fixed the TV situation for Amy & you all.

Don't even worry about me, my friend, as I will be fine, it's been 2 weeks coming & it'll take another going ... ragweed & mold. Conjunctivitis in eyes now & chest congestion. My usual yearly Aug/Sept battle with allergies.

Hope you will enjoy your parcel ... should be there by Tuesday altho I thought you'd have it now.

    Hugs of love, TTFN ~Marydon

  10. Hi Debbie, I'm saddened to hear that Amy wasn't able to enjoy the cookout. I'm prone to migraines too and they can ruin anything. I didn't realize you had Fibromyalgia also, I can just imagine the toll all the stress and worry has taken on you! Mine ALWAYS flares big time in times of stress! I hope Hospice is helpful, both in keeping Amy comfortable and helping you and your hubby out.I pray every day for you all, especially your dear Amy...((BIG HUGS)) to both of you!!!

  11. Dear Debbie Thanks for all your prayers for my Rachel. She seems to be out of danger now and returning to work next week. I think that even though Amy did not get to be awake she surely knew they were there. She will be happy they came. God Bless her. Please take care of yourself.

  14. Hello Debbie!

Good to her from you again. I haven't been in blogs for quite a while too. But happy to have visited again. Congratulations to the new grandma. Babies are such blessing. And yes, I see them that even if i don't have on of my own - yet :-)

Loved the essay of the little boy that you shared today too. It is quite funny, seeing it in a little boy's eyes, understanding, and how the use of words. But while I was smiling (and laughing at times because of cuteness and the innocence that shows, I know that it is very true too. Guess adults tend to get caught up of the busy world. Good thing someone decided to publish and share this story to everyone. Simple words but very true :-) hanks for sharing too Debbie.

Also, glad to hear that Amy has come home. though still it must have been hard. Oh Debbie, when it comes to Amy, I am such a loss for words. See, I know . . . can see that as her mother it must be very difficult for you. But the extent of it, only you knows, an like the little boy said. only God knows. What I do know, is that He will never stop caring for you, and Amy, and the entire family. Always. That I am sure.

    Mizpah!

Good to hear from you again! What a darling story you have shared by that little guy. Wisdom from the mouth of babes! I hardly know what to say concerning your Amy! I am so sorry that Amy is having such a hard time and not able to enjoy the festivities. I know the Lord is with her and caring for her even in the midst of all this. My prayers are with you all and I know that you are all in His hands. Take courage and know that we all love you and continue to pray for you, for Amy, and your family.

  16. Howdy Debbie
    What a precious post .
    God Bless you sweetie .
I have been out of pocket all week.
Did not plan on being away from the computer for the entire week it just kind of worked out that way.
Not having a regular work schedule for our family can be filled with lots of unknowns at times.
Anyhoo I am trying to get caught up a little bit this morning before we get busy again.
We finally have had rain here and it is a blessing .
Three straight non stop days of rain now it is starting to flood as it does here in central Texas.
God be with you and Amy .
My prayers are with you and I am sending you lots of hugs.
I do wish things were more comfortable for Amy.
Will continue to pray for all of you .
God bless you today as you go about taking care of your precious Amy .
May God annoint your hands this day for all that comes your way and may the Father pour out amazing little miracles upon you all through the day in Jesus name
    Amen !!!
    Love ya
    Hugs from Texas
    Happy Trails
