RISE AND SHINE
THERE IS NOTHING BETTER THAN EGGS "FRESH" FROM THE CHICKEN!
LEILA'S HUSBAND, CORBY, HAS PARENTS WHO RAISE CHICKENS AND THEY
BLESSED US WITH SOME OF THEIR HENS' EGGS. DELICIOUS....
I CAN'T WAIT TILL THE DAY I CAN GATHER EGGS. THAT IS ON MY BUCKET LIST
OF THINGS I WANT TO DO.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE KIND OF EGG:
POACHED
FRIED
SCRAMBLED
OMELET
MY FAVORITE EGG IS POACHED BUT I LOVE A FRIED EGG THAT IS SOFT BUT A LITTLE
RUNNY...I USE TO SAY "OVER EASY" UNTIL I WAS SERVED ONE IN A DINER THAT
THE COOK AND I HAD DIFFERING OPINIONS OF WHAT "OVER EASY" WAS.
MY MOTHER USE TO MAKE US EGG AND CHEESE SANDWICHES IN OUR LUNCH PAILS
WHEN WE WERE LITTLE. SHE WOULD TAPE A DIME TO THE INSIDE METAL LID SO
WE COULD BUY OUR MILK.
I SURE WISH I HAD SOME OF OUR LUNCH PAILS BACK.
JUST WISHING YOU A DAY BRIGHT WITH SUN SHINE.
I SURE THANK THE LORD EVERY DAY FOR YOU, MY SWEET BLOGGING FRIENDS.
YOU ARE VERY SPECIAL TO ME AND SUCH AN INSPIRATION.

Morning girl...how are you? I love chickens!!!! My wish is to live in the country in a big old farmhouse with chickens in the yard! lol (pssst...come close...I will not under any circustances eat a chicken egg fresh from a chicken) lol lol I know...I know that is weird....but I have been that way all my life..my grandparents raised chickens and that is where my love for chickens comes from but even back then I would even eat chicken in the chicken and dressing until I check the yard to see if it was one of family chickens missing! lol lol Mine have to come from the store in it's own little carton! lol lol
ReplyDeleteBut I do love a fried egg girl...one of my Burly Boys favorite thing is to come here and ask me to make them some fried egg sandwiches with bacon and tomatoe...ohhhh it is so good!
Thanks for coming by sweetie...I hope you have a fantastic weekend!
Yes, I didn't know what a cloche was either. Had to goggle for info. That's when I found the hats.
ReplyDeleteI still haven't figured out what ATC is. I see that when they talk about embellishing stuff.

Hi Debbie, Thank you for stopping by my blog and leaving such a nice comment. I love fresh eggs. My neighbors have a coop and always give us fresh ones. They taste so much better than store bought. My favorite way to cook them is sunny side up. -Jackie

Hey Debbie, It is about midnight and I am in Jasper, Texas using my new notebook that I bought so I could blog from anywhere. I love a fried egg, but take a poached one.
ReplyDeleteTomorrow is our big day on the river!!!! We are at a B&B and are the only people upstairs, so it is like having your own apartment.....
Hope you and your family have a great Father's Day.
Hugs to you and Amy,

Oh boy, EGGS! I love them fried and RUNNY, but if you ever get a chance to eat Egg Foo Young, do so, it is like the most delicious egg dish on earth, better than an omlette even because some kind of way they get a delightful crust on the thing...
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on the lunch pails -- just little ol' metal ones, weren't they great?
Hope yer weekend is lovely.
