THE MORE DIFFICULTIES ONE HAS TO ENCOUNTER, WITHIN AND WITHOUT,
THE MORE SIGNIFICANT AND THE HIGHER IN INSPIRATION HIS LIFE WILL BE.
~HORACE BUSHNELL
ALTHOUGH THE ABOVE PICTURE IS A CARTOON, IT HAD A POWERFUL MESSAGE TO
ME WHEN I LOOKED AT THE HUGE SNOWBALL. IF YOU THINK OF A SMALL SNOW-
BALL YOU WOULD JUST MAKE WITH YOUR HANDS, IT IS NOT ALL THAT BIG.
WHEN WE HAVE WORRIES IN OUR LIVES, THAT ADDS A LAYER, WHEN WE ARE
HURT BY FRIENDS OR FAMILY AND THOSE ISSUES REMAIN UNRESOLVED THE
LAYERS OF HURT KEEP GROWING AND BUILDING UNTIL YOU HAVE A SNOWBALL
OUT OF CONTROL AND NO ONE EVEN REMEMBERS HOW IT STARTED.
I PRAY THAT ALL THOSE SNOWBALLS OF HURT MELT AWAY THIS 2010 INTO
COMPASSION, FORGIVENESS, AND UNDERSTANDING OF THE WALK EACH PERSON IS ON.
PRAYERS ARE NEEDED FOR:
SHARON, MELANIE AND FAMILY, A SWEET BLOGGER WHO IS TRYING TO CONCEIVE A
BABY, LADY KATHERINE, ELISABETH AND ROY, BILL AND KARRIE, CAS AND WILL,
ASHLEY, PEGGY, REBECCA'S PRECIOUS DADDY, MAGGIE, JEFF AND ROBBIE, PATRICIA,
DORIS AND RICHARD, TAWNA AND MIKE, DONNA, JUDY, BECKY, ALL UR MILITARY, POLICE, AND
FIRE MEN AND WOMAN, ALL THOSE NEEDING JOBS, NEEDING A HOME, IN POOR HEALTH,
ARTHRITIS, DIABETES, CHRON'S DISEASE...KATHY, AND ANYONE WHO NEEDS PRAYER...YOU
KNOW WHO THEY ARE LORD AND WHAT THEY NEED.
"I SHALL NOT DIE, BUT LIVE, AND DECLARE THE WORKS OF THE LORD."
~PSALM 118:17

Debbie, so many are rolling huge snowballs. I think this is a timely post and I pray that these problems of misundertandings between people who love each be resolved quickly. The longer it festers the harder it is come to a resolution.......:-) Hugs
ReplyDeleteThank you for this post! I have rheumatoid arthritis and my knee has been hurting bad. Your post touched my heart!
ReplyDeleteThank You!
Oh Debbie...I have a red face...because I have only just realized that I have been ROLLING a BIG BAD SNOWBALL bigger every day!!! Time to STOP and THINK and maybe THAW a bit!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd I have been rolling other snowballs, too -- WORRY, RESENTMENT, and FEAR...ugh...your post has brought me up short!
Debbie, what a beautiful analogy. When too many snowballs are thrown at us we try not to be the target of hatred, misunderstandings, distrust, non loyalities etc..all the things that rip a family unit apart.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, catch the snow ball, let it melt and just Pray for the person that threw it.
Hi Debbie. I hope today finds you on the path to healing and that you find something that makes you smile!
ReplyDeleteThat was so beautiful Debbie. I love your analogy of the snowball effect. Thankful that our Father can unwind the snowball in our lives if we only ask. Thanks for the reminder Debbie. You are a blessing and an inspiration to all of us Debbie. I know you had a very difficult holiday. I am thankful that Jesus helped you get through the difficult times as He held you close to His heart.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kind thoughts and the way you share with everyone you encounter.
ReplyDeleteThe flowers are so beautiful. sandie
ReplyDeleteYou have such a big heart!!
ReplyDeleteWe all need prayer! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteDebbie, I'm praying that any big snowballs in your life melt. You, your family, and everyone who loves you need each other as you journey through your grief. Sometimes, it seems more difficult to melt the snowball than to continue to add to it. We all have snowballs - some bigger than others. We all need to work on helping them to melt. It just doesn't seem fair for you to have to try to melt any giant snowballs when you have so much else to work through. Sending prayers up for you. With love, laurie
