OUTDOOR WEDNESDAY

HELLO AND COME ON IN FOR OUTDOOR WEDNESDAY.

IT IS HOSTED BY THE BEAUTIFUL SUSAN AT:

http://asoutherndaydreamer.blogspot.com

Please stop by and tell her hello and visit all the other

participants.

TO START OUT OUTDOOR WEDNESDAY WE ARE GOING TO

BACK TRACK TO SATURDAY, MAY 10, 2009. THESE ARE THE

BEAUTIFUL R.N.'S FROM DR. DEXEUS'S CLINIC HAVING

THE RELAY FOR LIFE GARAGE SALE/PARKING LOT SALE

AT DR. DEXEUS'S CLINIC. THESE NURSES GO FAR BEYOND

WHAT THE DUTIES OF A NURSE ARE...THEY ARE LIKE FAMILY.

THEY WERE NOT ANXIOUS TO HAVE THEIR PICTURES TAKEN

AS THE DAY WAS MUGGY, COLD AND RAINED OFF AND ON.

I HOPE YOU BEAUTIFUL LADIES MADE LOTS OF MONEY.

OUR NEXT STOP IS AT MY AUNT PATRICIA'S HOUSE. THE
HOME OWNER'S ASSOCIATION WHERE MY AUNT LIVES, DOES
NOT ALLOW FENCES. EACH BACK YARD OPENS UP TO A BEAUTIFUL
WALKING TRAIL...AND IT IS LIKE A LOVELY PARK.
MY AUNTS HOME IS DECORATED IN WHAT I WOULD CALL
ROMANTIC TRADITIONAL WITH A TOUCH OF WIMSEY....GORGEOUS
HOME BUT SHE IS MOVING. THE YARD IS BEAUTIFUL WITH
STATUES IN LITTLE CORNERS THAT NO ONE WOULD EVEN SEE
UNLESS YOU TOOK A WALK AROUND HER ENTIRE HOUSE.
HER HOME IS WHAT MAGAZINES ARE MADE FAMOUS FROM.

YOU CAN'T SEE THE BEAUTY IN THIS PICTURE BECAUSE I AM
NOT THAT GOOD OF A PHOTOGRAPHER. BUT THIS IS THE FRONT
FLOWER BED. THERE IS A BEAUTIFUL PINK PIECE OF SLAG
AND A BEAUTIFUL PIECE OF AQUA SLAG. SHE HAS VARIOUS
BEAUTIFUL PIECES OF VARIOUS ROCKS AND STATUES.

THIS IS A PICTURE OF THE BACK YARD LOOKING AT THE
HOUSE. MY GRAND DAD ALWAYS HAD A WINDMILL IN HIS
FRONT YARD AND HAVING A WINDMILL MAKES HER THINK OF
GRAND DAD.

THIS IS ONE OF HER STONE TABLES AT THE VERY BACK OF
HOUSE LOOKING TOWARD THE WALKING TRAIL. SHE HAS
BIRD FEEDERS AND BIRD BATHS AND YOU CAN JUST SET
THERE AND HERE THE RED BIRDS AND THE MOCKINGBIRDS
AND WATCH THE ROBINS HOP....SHE HAS A CROW WHO
KNOCKS ON THE PATIO DOOR WHEN THE BIRD FEEDER HE EATS
FROM IS EMPTY.

THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL RED ROSE BUSH THAT SHE PLANTED

SO WHEN SHE TOOK THE TRASH OUT...THEY WOULD BE PRETTY TO

LOOK AT.

THIS IS ONE OF FIVE PEONY BUSHES SHE HAS. THE BLOOMS ARE A
BEAUTIFUL WHITE WITH A TINY RED OUTLINE ON THE PETALS
RUFFLE EDGE.

THIS IS LOOKING ACROSS THE STREET AT THE MOST
MOST BEAUTIFUL BRONZE STATUE IN EDMOND, OKLAHOMA.
I WAS SO IN AWE OF THE STATUE I FORGOT TO LOOK AT THE NAME
OF THE BUILDING IT IS ON THE CORNER OF....BUT I DO KNOW
IT WAS THE EDMOND EDUCATION BUILDING OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT.
I THINK JUST SEEING GREEN BACK AGAIN IS JUST AS
BEAUTIFUL AS COLORED THINGS...AFTER A WINTER OF DEAD THINGS.

THE STATUE IS CALLED "THE BOOK"
I COULD STILL BE STANDING THERE LOOKING AT HER AND THE
CHILDREN. IT IS JUST BEAUTIFUL.....THE DETAIL.......IT IS
AWESOME

YOU CAN SEE THE DETAIN ON HER CLOTHING...HER HANDS...
THEIR HAIR...THE LITTLE GIRL HAS LACE ON HER SOCKS
AND YOU CAN SEE THE LACE.
ONE WONDERFUL THING I CAN SAY ABOUT
EDMOND, OKLAHOMA IS THEIR LOVE FOR BRONZE STATUES
BECAUSE THEY ARE EVERY WHERE. I HAVE SOME MORE TO
SHARE ON A LATER OUTDOOR WEDNESDAY.

THANK YOU FOR SPENDING A PART OF YOUR WEDNESDAY WITH
ME.
NEXT OUTDOOR WEDNESDAY I WILL BE SHARING OUR
FARMER'S MARKET WITH YOU. THE PICTURES MY HUSBAND
TOOK ON SATURDAY FOR OUR FIRST FARMER'S MARKET DID
NOT TAKE. IT IS HELD IN OUR OLD TRAIN DEPOT STATION
AND IT IS AND WILL BE AWESOME. THIS SATURDAY WILL
BE THE GRAND OPENING.
ONE REALLY NEAT CHRISTIAN MAN WAS THERE WITH HIS
ADORABLE CHILDREN.
HE WAS FROM NOBLE HERITAGE ACRES.
HE BRINGS FARM FRESH EGGS TO MARKET.
THIS IS HIS SCRIPTURE........
STAND YOU IN THE WAY, AND SEE, AND ASK FOR THE
OLD PATHS, WHERE IS THE GOOD WAY, AND WALK THEREIN,
AND YOU SHALL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS....
~JEREMIAH 6:16
HE IS FROM RINGWOOD, OKLAHOMA
IT WAS DIFFICULT TO HEAR INSIDE THIS SMALL TRAIN
STATION AS THEY HAD A BAND PLAYING AND SO I ONLY HEARD
ABOUT EVERY THIRD WORD.
READING HIS PHAMLET I BECAME EDUCATED ON THE
DIFFERENCE IN FARM FRESH EGGS FROM HENS THAT ARE
FREE TO SCRATCH FOR BUGS, GRAZE ON FRESH ROTATED
PASTURE GRASSES, AND LIE DOWN IN THE WARMTH OF THE
SUN WITH PLENTY OF FRESH AIR AND WATER. THEIR FEED
MIX IS A CUSTOM RECIPE OF ORGANIC GRAINS, LEGUMES,
AND OTHER LOCALLY GROWN GRAINS. THEY ALSO ADD AN
ORGANIC POULTRY NUTRIBALANCER WITH KELP MEAL....IT IS
A COMPLETE VITAMIN MINERAL SUPPLEMENT WHICH FURTHER
ENHANCES THE NUTRITIONAL CONTENT OF THEIR EGGS.
IF I WAS A HEN I WOULD CERTAINLY WANT TO PACK MY
DUFFEL BAG AND WADDLE ON DOWN TO NOBLE HERITAGE ACRES,
WOULDN'T YOU....LOL
I WILL TALK MORE ABOUT THIS SATURDAY.
WELL AS ALWAYS, THANK YOU FOR SPENDING A
PART OF YOUR DAY WITH ME.
HUGS
debbie

  4. Oh Debbie, that statue took my breath away -- what detail. I love outdoor sculpture.

Your aunt's house looks so charming -- so many beautiful and thoughtful touches. What a shame she is moving from such a lovely setting!

I wish I had stone benches and chairs ... they are so timeless and classic!

Thanks for visiting That Old House. I worried a lot about Alida when she visited Bosnia, in fact the first time she wanted to go she was only 16 and we said, "no." But she persisted, and at 17, we let her go. It was a strongly felt "mission" for her and we didn't think we should stop her doing something she felt so called to do.

It was a life-changing and life-enhancing experience for her. And I always profoundly thanked the Lord when her plane safely landed home in New York!

  7. I'm still laughing about hens "packing their duffel bags and waddling" over to the Noble Heritage Acres!!! I could really enjoy that life, too, sitting in the sun and having some nice meals brought to me, LOL...

Edmond is certainly a beautiful place. That statue is amazing, and the town sure looks pretty all decked out in spring green.

I can't wait to see the Farmers Market pictures next time.

Your Aunt Patricia's yard looks like a park setting! Beauty in every corner.

Thank you so much for sharing your outdoor pictures. Being in the desert, I get lonesome for seeing green things and pretty things, and it is so exciting to see the pictures of beautiful places where things grow.

Of course you and Amy are in my thoughts often. My grandmother would have said of her, "She is all heart, she is running on heart." And that is high praise where I come from, not many earn it. No wonder those nurses go "above and beyond," just look at the patients they have, truly amazing fighters.

I agree with you that has to be one of the most beautiful statues I have ever seen. Thank you for sharing.

  9. Your aunt's house is just lovely. What a thoughtful thing to plant roses next to your garbage can area so it's always pretty! I love the bronze statue! Just wonderful! Wouldn't it be fun to have a smaller version to put in our own yards? Wishful thinking...

    Thanks for stopping by today!

Your aunts yard is awesome. What a sweet rose bush and lovely yard furniture to sit on and enjoy the view of the walking path. Love the windmill and the story behind it. Last the statue of the woman and children is wonderful. I loved it all.

  14. Hi Debbie
Everything was so beautiful I wish there was someplace this lovely in my neighborhood.
Living in a military town there is a disposable attitude among many citizens as to why bother .
We have lived here almost two years and it never seems to get across that you can and should blooom where your planted no matter how long your visit or how short your stay .
I am so thankful to you for all the gorgeous outdooor photos today.I really needed a dose of
    pretty today.
    Thank you .
    God Bless you !

  23. I love what your Aunt Patricia has done to personalize her space! What she's created is more beautiful and special than any fence could ever be!

Thanks for your sweet comment on my blog...it made my day! My grandma had a gossip bench, too -- it was a different style and didn't have the padded seat. When she passed away four years ago I was happy to see it go to her doctor (I didn't have room at the time to put it). The one I bought last week is a bit beat up but I think we can fix it up...and I can't believe your grandma's went for $75 at auction in 1976! That certainly helped me justify my purchase. And...that spoon I picked up is your pattern...unbelievable! You must have been with me in yard sale shopping spirit. :-)

Have a wonderful weekend, and thanks again!

  25. Hi Debbie...this is my first visit. I just wanted to stop by and say hello. It will be fun getting to know you. Your blog is so interesting as there is lots to look at. Your Grandmothers yard is lovely. Lots to look at there also..and I had to smile at the rose out where she takes the trash. Great idea. So many times that part of a home is neglected.
I will see you again soon!
