"I'LL GET YOU MY PRETTY"

RECENTLY HAD AN AWESOME GIVE AWAY.....IN THE COMMENTS
YOU HAD TO TELL HOW YOU WERE A ...."WITCH!"
ARE YOU A GOOD WITCH OR A BAD WITCH?
I LOVE THAT LINE FROM THE MOVIE THE WIZARD OF OZ!
I'LL TELL YOU HERE LATELY MY HUSBAND WOULD PROBABLY
SAY I WAS A BAD WITCH. EMOTIONS RUN VERY HIGH WHEN
THERE IS A SICK LOVED ONE IN THE HOME, SUCH AS OUR
DAUGHTER, AMY DAWN.
I WON! I WON! I WON!
HOORAY I WON!

TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE
WHEN THE CLOUDS DANCED AROUND THE MOON

WOULD BE ARRIVING SOON

AS NIGHT TURNED TO DAY
A BIG BLACK CROW SOARED UP AND AWAY
THE RUSTY CROW LOVED NEEDFUL THINGS
HE HOPED ABOVE HOPE IT CONTAINED SOME BLING
THE BOX ARRIVED AT THE ANGEL PORCH WITH CARE
BUT........
IT WAS CARRIED INSIDE BY THE MAN OF THE HOUSE
AND.......
ALL THE RUSTY CROW COULD DO..... WAS SET ON THE
ANGEL PORCH AND STARE

EVEN AS THE BOX WAS BEING OPENED
SO AMY DAWN COULD SEE
THE OLD RUSTY CROW CAWED,
"I'LL GET YOU MY PRETTY!
THAT IS A PROMISE FROM ME!"

THE BOX WAS A TREASURE CHEST OF BEAUTIFULLY WRAPPED
ITEMS. BEING AN OKLAHOMA STATE UNIVERSITY...OSU...FAN,
IT WAS DELIGHTFUL TO SEE THE ORANGE TISSUE PAPER WITH
PRETTY ORANGE RIBBONS.
MY DH, ME, AND AMY OOHED AND AWED OVER EVERY ITEM
AS IT CAME OUT OF THE BOX. IT WAS AS EXCITING AS
CHRISTMAS.

I HAVE WATCHED COMMERCIALS ABOUT THE LINDT
LINDOR TRUFFLES. NO ONE IN MY LITTLE IMMEDIATE
FAMILY HAVE EVER HAD A TRUFFLE.
I LIKE CANDY THAT HAS COCONUT AND NUTS GENERALLY.......
BUT OH MY!!!!! THESE TRUFFLES ARE SINFULLY GOOD.
THEY NEED TO BE PUT IN FINE CRYSTAL AND SERVED ON
CHINA, ONCE A DAY AT 4 PM. SOOOOOO VERY GOOD.
THANK YOU LYNN. MY DH AND I LEFT THE ROOM TO TRY A
TRUFFLE, SINCE OUR DAUGHTER TAKES NOTHING BY MOUTH....
SQUEALS AND GIGGLES OF DELIGHT.....VERY GOOD.

AWESOME BOTTLE OF WITCH HAZEL........IT HAS A VERY UNIQUE
TEXTURE ON THE BOTTLE. IT LOOKS AS IF IT IS A THOUSAND YEARS
OLD AND HAD BEEN COOKED AND BOILED FOR SOME TIME. A
UNIQUE PIECE OF ART......LOVED IT.

THIS HAT IS SO UNIQUE. I WILL TREASURE IT FOR YEARS TO COME. IT
IS SIGNED UNDERNEATH THE BRIM. IT LOOKS VERY, VERY OLD. IT HAS
TWO RUSTY BELLS AND SWEET ANNIE ON IT....A PICTURE JUST DOES NOT
DO LYNN'S WORK JUSTICE. IT IS ALSO QUITE HEAVY.

THE SIGN IS AWESOME. I LOVE IT. IT IS GORGEOUS....MADE WITH
PERFECTION. OH LYNN, YOU ARE AN AWESOME ARTIST.
YOU CERTAINLY HAVE MADE MY DH, ME, AND AMY SO HAPPY
UNWRAPPING THIS BOX OF JOY AND IMAGINATION.

YUMMY POTPOURRI

SMELLS SO VERY GOOD

MEET MY PRECIOUS LITTLE PUNKIN' FRIENDS

JUST LOOK AT THAT FACE....
HE SOOOOOOO WARMS THE HEART
YOU JUST WANT TO SQUEEZE HIS CHEEKS

ADORABLE

HE REMINDS ME OF THE OLD GOOFY GRAPE

HE'S SHY.....A LITTLE SHRINKING VIOLET

JUST LOOK AT THOSE EYES

WE DIDN'T GET THE 5TH PUNKIN IN THIS PHOTOGRAPH BUT
THESE CUTE DARLINGS WERE MADE BY LYNN....OUT OF
"LIGHTBULBS."
THESE ARE THE SWEETEST, CUTEST, AND MOST CHERISHED LITTLE
PUMPKINS I HAVE EVER SEEN.
THEY WERE NOT PART OF THE GIVE AWAY BUT I HAD MADE A
COMMENT TO LYNN ABOUT HOW ADORABLE THEY WERE. SHE HAD
MADE A PUMPKIN TREE.
WHAT I AM GOING TO DO IS BUY AN ARTIFICIAL CHRISTMAS TREE.
I AM GOING TO PUT THE HAT ON TOP OF THE TREE.
MY MOTHER FOUND HERSELF SOME CANDY CORN LIGHTS.
I WANT TO FIND SOME CANDY CORN LIGHTS AND SOME LITTLE ORANGE
LIGHTS TO PUT AROUND THE TREE WITH SWAGS OF ARTIFICIAL LEAVES
WRAPPED AROUND AND THEN HANG THESE PRECIOUS PUMPKINS.
I'LL POSITION THE SIGN IN THE MIDDLE OF THE TREE AND SET
SOME RED SPARKLY SHOES AT THE BOTTOM WITH SOME PUMPKINS...
REAL PUMPKINS THAT IS.
AMY WILL LOVE IT.

THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH LYNN. WHAT A BEAUTIFUL GIVE AWAY.

IF YOU HAVE NOT BEEN TO LYNN'S BLOG YOU ARE MISSING A REAL

TREAT. SHE IS SO CREATIVE AND TALENTED AND FUNNY.

  4. Hi Debbie, As always, I hope that Amy will be better today. I want to say THANK YOU for your time, my kids are so happy due to your cards. They are first letters that they received in our new house. Everyday, Yadiel ask for "la nena" (it means the girl, he calls Amy the girl, and he thinks that Amy is so little for the drawing that he made for her. Each day, he want to see the picture of Amy that I have in my blog, he loves her dog. And Chantal is making a letter for Amy including her memories from two years ago when she participates in " Relevo por la Vida" (A Race for a Cure) in PR prior to our moving to VA. All my nieces participate in that race and our theme was "Angeles de Esperanza" ( Hope Angels). Your new goodies are AWESOME, Enjoy them. God bless Amy and your family.

In the midst of all the suffering in your family thank you for thinking of Miss K and I during our bought with illness. Miss K of course had the H1N1 Virus and is NOW WELL (thank you God). I had something less serious and I'm all better now.

  22. Oh Debbie...what a lovely post. Like life a blend of sad and happy. I am so glad you won those incredible harvest items. The punkins, the hat, the sign, the old old bottle, all of it, so festive and so lovely and fun.

I am horribly cast down though about Amy's terrible ordeal. I never dread to come here and I look anxiously for emails and listen for the phone. I am sad though for Amy's pain and ordeal. Who wouldn't be terribly sad to hear about such a sweet and darling person having such an awful time. I wish I could give her my health, bone marrow or stem cells or what have you. I wish I could give you and yours some comfort.

Well I have purple and orange little strings of lights and into the mail they go tomorrow.

Please tell Amy I say hi.

  25. What wonderful gifts.Maybe you should think how good your mother has been to you all.Just maybe you should thank her for all she has done to help you.I really never read were you thank her for just bringing you in this world. How can you and your husband even sleep?

  27. Dear Anonymous,
Thank you for visiting my blog. I usually don't respond to those who are not brave enough to stand behind their curious and uncalled for remarks.
This BLOG IS NOT ABOUT MY MOTHER!!! If you had taken the time to review my blog before making such careless, hurtful comments, you would know I have many topics thanking my mother.
It sounds to me that you have a narcistic personality that needs to be recognized by any body....you will take the attention how ever you can get it, no matter who you have to hurt.
I will pray for you as it is a very sad place to be when you are hurting and have noone to talk to. I wonder if maybe you do not have a guilty conscience for how you have robbed your own mother and so you want to strike out at someone who is a mother you would have wanted...someone who would spend time with you but would make you independent instead of dependent on her.
If you knew me and my husband, you would know we DON'T SLEEP AT NIGHT as we watch our daughter die of terminal cancer.
I will pray you never have a child battling for their life and someone say such a horrendous thing to you.
I am curious Anonymous as to why you did not say the same thing about my Father....did your Father try to make you the independent person you have always wanted to be but could not become because of an "Enabling Mother."
As parents the hardest thing but greatest thing we can do is make our children independent...to stand on their own two feet.
It is so very odd you would even ask me about my mother since it is not Mother's Day.....and how I should be thankful she gave me birth? Did you thank your mother for giving you birth?
You have millions of blogs to send anonymous comments to.....because we all do not talk about our mothers' every day and least not when we have a child that is dying.
We all fall short of doing and saying things that make our families and friends know how much we love them but that is why JESUS went to the cross for us and shed His precious blood for us because not one of us, no not none is perfect but the Father himself.
I am so sorry for the place you are in, in your life......to be so full of ugliness...but present yourself as grace. You can't fool the heavenly Father, and the Heavenly Father loves you in spite of your actions.
    Debbie

  28. Debbie, I stop by with each new post. My heart is positively breaking for you. Sometimes, I just don't leave a message for fear of saying the wrong thing. Please know that I CARE & PRAY for you, Amy, and the family. I know that God has a plan, and I admire you and Amy for your bravery in this battle.

  29. I believe all that came to read your wonderful BLOG yesterday to learn of your joy in receiving such a generous gift along with sharing Amy's pain and suffering were as appalled as I was with the "Anonymous" post.

This seems to be the 2nd time this individual has reared up their head with callous, ugly & irresponsible choice of words. This person has to be someone not full filled, with a deep seeded persecution complex.

It is as if Anonymous, you are crying out in your demented frame of mind to be released of the unpleasntries you have suffered in your own life.

Once you find a Power greater than yourself who some chose to call God, you will find the peace you are so seeking.

In the meanwhile, "May God Bless you and Keep you
May God make his face to shine upon you ...and give you Peace

    Blessings from Texas

I am happy that you were able to enjoy that halloween package -- and if you are a "witch," it is fully understandable.
