YOU WILL BLOOM AGAIN: part #2

THE ABOVE PICTURE WAS TAKEN ON 5/19/2009. MY HUSBAND AND I NEVER
DREAMED OUR PUMPKIN PLANT IN MY FAVORITE GREEN POT WOULD SUCCEED
THAT IS WHEN THE LORD JUST QUICKENED IN MY SPIRIT THAT SOMETHING I
THOUGHT WAS DISGUSTING...LIKE THIS ROTTEN PUMPKIN...COULD NOT JUST
GROW BUT BE LOADED WITH BEAUTIFUL FLOWER BLOSSOMS.
I DON'T WANT TO BE A DRAMA QUEEN OVER THE LIFE CYCLE OF THIS PUMPKIN
BUT I JUST KNOW THERE ARE A LOT OF VERY TALENTED PEOPLE THAT HAVE SO
MUCH TO OFFER THAT ARE SETTING IN A GREY WORLD THAT HAS NO JOY OR
LAUGHTER TO SING TO THEM. FOR WHATEVER REASON THEY FEEL THEIR SEASON IS
OVER AND THEY WILL NEVER BLOOM AGAIN. "WRONG! THAT IS WHAT I CALL
STINKIN' THINKIN'! YOUR THINKER AIEN'T WORKIN' RIGHT." THAT IS WHEN YOU
HAVE TO HAVE A FRIEND WHO WILL DARE TO TELL YOU,
"PUT YOUR BIG GIRL PANTIES ON AND DEAL WITH IT!"
NOW IF YOU HAPPEN TO BE A MAN READING THIS,
"DON'T PUT ON YOUR BIG GIRL PANTIES...PLEASE. PUT ON YOUR BIG BOY

BOXERS' AND DEAL WITH IT.....AND THIS WILL BE THE LAST TIME I DISCUSS
PANTIES AND BOXERS. WE NEVER HAD THIS CONVERSATION.
WE ARE DISCUSSING PUMPKINS AND HOW EACH ONE OF US WILL BLOOM AGAIN.
EVEN AS MY PUMPKIN SET IN MY FAVORITE GREEN POT, SEASON AFTER SEASON,
IT SEEMED IT WAS DOING NOTHING BUT ROTTING...IT WAS DORMANT...IT SHOWED
NO SIGNS OF BECOMING A FAMOUS PUMPKIN ON A BLOG...ISN'T LIFE AMAZING...LOL...LOL
BUT ONE DAY, THIS BLOGGER SAID, "HONEY WOULD YOU PLEASE THROW THAT PUMPKIN
IN THE TRASH!"....WELL, FOR THOSE OF YOU "14" FAVORITE FANS WHO COMMENTED
ON MY FIRST POST "YOU WILL BLOOM AGAIN," YOU KNOW THE UNIQUE STORY.
FOR YOU NEW SWEET VISITORS, WHO DO NOT KNOW THE STORY READ PART ONE....
THERE WILL BE A POP QUIZ TOMORROW

MORNING. JUST KIDDING YA!
OUR PUMPKIN PLANT HAS GROWN AND GROWN. I SUGGESTED TO MY DH THAT HE
PUT ONE OF THOSE HOSE THINGS (THAT SUPPORTS YOUR GARDEN HOSE AND KEEPS
IT OFF THE GROUND....WELL THAT WAS A MOUTH FULL)...OVER BY THE PUMPKIN

RUNNERS SO IT WOULD STAY OFF THE GROUND....THE REASON BEING MY DH HAS
EDGE RIGHT WHERE OUR PUMPKIN RUNNER IS GOING........MUCH TO MY SHOCK, MY
DH TOOK MY ADVICE. USUALLY IF I HAVE TIME I HAVE TO THINK UP A WAY TO
LET HIM THINK IT WAS HIS IDEA.....HE IS LIKE ONE OF THOSE DOCTORS THAT YOU

NEVER SUGGEST ANYTHING TOO, BECAUSE EVEN IF THEY KNOW YOUR IDEA WOULD
WORK, THEY WILL DO THE TOTAL OPPOSITE. MY DH AND I HAVE HAD FOR 36 YEARS
VERY PASSIONATE BOARD MEETINGS, AND HE IS STILL THE CEO, BUT I JUST LET
HIM THINK HE IS...HEHEHE
FOR THREE DAYS, OF THE EVENING WE WOULD FIND BLOOMS THAT WERE ALREADY
WILTED AND DYING. EARLY MONDAY MORNING...0030...BARELY MONDAY MORNING
WE WALKED OUR DAUGHTER TO HER CAR. THERE WAS A PUMPKIN BLOOM THAT
WAS SO FULL AND BIG IT LOOKED LIKE IT WAS GOING TO BURST.
0700 MONDAY MORNING...WAITING FOR OUR DAUGHTER AMY TO DRIVE TO OUR
HOUSE SO WE COULD TAKE HER FOR CHEMOTHERAPY.......
TA DA...TA DA....

INTRODUCING YOU TO BLOSSOM STAR # ONE...IS SHE NOT BEAUTIFUL.

IN THIS PICTURE YOU CAN TELL THE BLOOMS ARE NOT OPEN ALL THE WAY YET.

YOU CAN SEE THE RUNNER TO THE LEFT RESTING ON THE GARDEN HOSE HOLDER AND

THERE IS A RUNNER GROWING OUT TOWARD THE SIDEWALK.

THERE HAVE BEEN 3 BLOSSOMS AND WITH THESE 2, THAT IS 5 BLOSSOMS AND IT IS

LOADED WITH BLOSSOMS TO COME.

I HAVE NEVER SEEN PUMPKIN BLOSSOMS OR A PUMPKIN PLANT FOR THAT MATTER.

THE LEAVES ARE VERY STICKY/ ROUGH FEELING...NOT SMOOTH AT ALL AND

PROBABLY 8-10 INCHES ACROSS...THIS IS NOT A LITTLE PLANT AND THAT BLOOM IS

PROBABLY 6 INCHES ACROSS AT LEAST AND BY 12 NOON THE BLOOMS WERE GONE.

EVEN WHEN IT SEEMS YOU ARE IN A DORMANT STAGE AND NO ONE SEEMS TO

RECOGNIZE YOUR VALUE...THE LORD JESUS CHRIST DOES. HE GAVE YOU THE TALENTS

YOU HAVE SO YOU MAY TOUCH OTHERS.

IF YOU ARE SICK IN BODY...PRAY FOR OTHERS WHO ARE SICK

IF YOU ARE LONELY...BE A FRIEND TO AN ELDERLY NEIGHBOR OR A SHUT IN WHO IS

CHRONICALLY ILL

WHATEVER YOUR NEED IS, FIND SOMEONE WHO IS WORSE THAN YOU AND BE A

BLESSING TO THEM THROUGH FRIENDSHIP

GOD HAS NOT FORGOTTEN YOU.

EVERYTHING WILL BE ALRIGHT.

YOU ARE UNIQUE. YOU ARE SPECIAL

AND

YOU ARE ALWAYS WELCOME

MANY HUGS TO YOU ALL

Please remember the daughter and sil of Pansy Gardens Blog who are praying for direction
about being missionaries in Thailand. It helped me to remember to pray and offer
support for our missionaries...they have a tremendous job and the people in America
do not see their blossoms when a little child drinks fresh water, can read a bible
story or sing, Jesus loves me.
Remember my Amy who is going through chemotherapy this week. She spent the
week-end in Texas, close to the town Grapevine, Texas. She went with Leila and her
husband Corby. They stayed at Leila's sister, Sherry's house. Sherry was receiving an
award at work and she took Leila as a guest. Amy kept Leila's husband Corby out of
trouble. Amy came back very tired but she had a good time. Her weight is down
from 93 pounds to 87 pounds. Since her chemotherapy will infuse all night, I believe
she will gain weight from hydration. They had to change her pain med because
her liver enzymes were too high. One step forward. Leila had a heart test Monday to
see if the chemotherapy drugs have affected her heart...no results yet.
remember Roy and Elisabeth, Johnathan, Sally, Kelly, Betsy, Molly's husband, Lisa's
cousin's little baby who has brain cancer, Spencer, Lady Penniwig's son, Becky, Danny,
Noah, Jonah, Jessica, Xavier's brother and parents, Jean, Donna, Clifford, Patricia, Suzanne,
Jay, Bobby, Richard, My DH Richard, Ted, Monte, Doris and Richard and their grandson
Jamie who is in Iraq, and their other grandchildren: Thor and Kristen who will be
going, their other grandson Brandon who has been to Iraq several times and is going
back...That is a lot of grandchildren from one family serving this country with honor...we
remember all military and their families..for safety and their family will have their
needs met while their father or mother serves this country...Gloria, Happy to be...her
grandson Jacob is going to Iraq and he is a new father, pray for all the police officers:
Mo's cottage, her son is a police officer, my cousins Wes and Chris and every mother who
is praying for her son or daughter who is a police officer, Mike...Glenda and Tom's son
I pray for everyone to see that they are valuable and have gifts within them that will
blossom one day.
I called upon the LORD in distress: the LORD answered me, and set me in a
large place,
The LORD is on my side; I will not fear; what can man do unto me?
~PSALM 118: 5-6

  10. I'm still laughing over your post, the pumpkin part of it...LOL...AND MY GOSH THOSE STAR BLOSSOMS ARE JUST GORGEOUS...you will have a lot of "boy" blossoms before the "girl" blossoms come along (ha ha the best is saved for last)...you have such a fun and sneaky wit, the part about "famous pumpkin on a blog" and your hubby the CEO (he thinks) were especially hilarious!!!...Now, the part where Amy, Leila, and the others are having such a tough time, no, the smiles left my old face at that...I feel helpless and don't have wise words, just have a sore, sore heart at their burdens...so good to see Amy and Leila with those bright wigs, guess I'm a tacky gal because I love those colors and when the Halloween wigs go on sale I am always wishing to buy one...

Every time I read a post, I think, "This is her best post EVER" and every time you manage to top it somehow...you sure have a gift of writing and of such a GREAT HEART...

  11. Debbie, I have been waiting for some news of Amy and praying things were going good with chemo ( if that is possible). I am glad she had a chance to get away and have some fun.

The pumpkin story is so funny, but the flower pictures are beautiful. Your posting always make me so thankful for everything around me.

Praying as always for Amy and Leila.

    Loads of hugs,
    Barbara
