IT'S PINK SATURDAY

I KNOW THIS IS NOT PINK BUT THIS "DAISY" IS FOR SWEET KIM AT DEAR DAISY COTTAGE JUST TO LET HER KNOW HOW LOVED SHE IS.

CONGRATS TO DANA, STONE RABBIT, AND MISSOURI.........WHAT A SEASON AND YOU ARE STILL WINNING.....MY DIL IS CHEERING FOR THE OKLAHOMA SOONERS AND MY SON......A DEVOUT OKLAHOMA STATE COWBOY FAN IS CHEERING ON MISSOURI!CALENDAR:

.IN THAILAND, PINK IS ASSOCIATED WITH TUESDAY ON THE THAI SOLAR CALENDAR. ANYONE MAY WEAR PINK ON TUESDAY AND ANYONE BORN ON A TUESDAY MAY ADOPT PINK AS THEIR COLOR.

I LOVE ANTIQUE HEAD VASES. I HAVE ALWAYS LOVED THESE BEAUTIFUL VASES. I ONLY HAVE ONE AND SHE IS WEARING GREEN. YOU CAN FIND THESE BEAUTIFUL LADIES ALL OVER THE INTERNET. THESE TODAY ARE FROM ANTIQUE HEAD VASES. COM. I DON'T KNOW THE COMPANY AND RECEIVE NOTHING FOR RECOMMENDING THEM BUT THAT THEY HAVE A WONDERFUL SELECTION.

COUNTRY LIVING MAGAZINE........COUNTRY LIVING MAGAZINE...........

BEAUTIFUL PICTURE FROM THE WONDERFUL MAGAZINE COUNTRY LIVING. I LOVE...LOVE...THIS LIVING ROOM OF HOME OWNER ELIZABETH MEAD. CAN I MOVE IN WITH YOU ELIZABETH? I CAN SEE WHY COUNTRY LIVING DID AN ARTICLE ON HER.

SHE FOUND THE DRAPERY FABRIC AT A CARLETON V SAMPLE SALE. SHE LOVED THE FABRIC SO MUCH SHE USED WHAT WAS LEFT OVER TO COVER THE LIVING ROOM ARM CHAIR AND THROW PILLOWS. THE WALLS ARE PAINTED BENJAMIN MOORE'S MARSHMALLOW BUNNY.

THE ARTICLE DOES NOT EVEN MENTION THAT BEAUTIFUL RUG.

I DID SOME RESEARCH ON THE COLOR PINK: THE COLOR AND MATERIAL USED IN ELIZABETHAN CLOTHING WAS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT. PEOPLE WHO COULD WEAR PINK WAS DICTATED BY ENGLISH LAW! THESE WERE CALLED THE SUMPTUARY LAWS. THE COLORS OF ELIZABETHAN CLOTHES, INCLUDING THE COLOR PINK, PROVIDED INFORMATION ABOUT THE STATUS OF THE MAN AND WOMAN WEARING THEM. THIS WAS NOT JUST DICTATED BY THE WEALTH OF THE PERSON, IT ALSO REFLECTED THEIR SOCIAL STANDING.

. THE SYMBOLIC MEANING OF THE COLOR PINK WAS JOY AND HAPPINESS

.PINK ALSO HAS A RELIGIOUS MEANING AND IS THE CHRISTIAN COLOR FOR THE THIRD SUNDAY OF ADVENT

.CHEAP DYES, MADE FROM THE MADDER ROOT, WERE USED TO PRODUCE THE COLOR PINK

.HAS ALWAYS BEEN CLOSELY ASSOCIATED WITH LADIES AND YOUNG GIRLS

.HOWEVER, THE COLOR PINK WAS A FAVORITE COLOR FOR THE HOSE WORN BY MEDIEVAL MEN

PINK FILMS:
.PRETTY IN PINK
.THE PINK PANTHER
.PINK CADILLAC

WE REMEMBER THE FOLLOWING PEOPLE IN PRAYER.......AMY AND LEILA....AMY HAD HER CT SCAN YESTERDAY AND (IT IS THE FIRST TIME THEY HAVE NOT INCLUDED THE WRITTEN RADIOLOGIST REPORT IN THE FILMS THEY ARE SENDING, TO DR. MEDINA)........OLIVIA, JONATHAN, JENNIFER, LYNN'S HUSBAND, CINDY J'S MOTHER,
BECKY, ROBBI, CINDY, DEENA, SUZANNE, JAY, MO'S SON WHO IS A POLICE OFFICER, AND ALL THOSE WHO SERVE IN LINE OF DUTY; (POLICE OFFICERS, FIREMEN, PARAMEDICS, AIRFORCE, GREEN BERET, ARMY, NAVY, NAVY SEALS, AND MARINES.),

EVERY TIME WE GET IN THE CAR I PRAY OVER OUR CAR AND EVERY ONE IN IT.

  18. Hi Debbie, I think your prayer was perfect.

I love those lady head vases. There is an antique store in my hometown where the owner has 200 of them. I used to love to go there just to see his collection. He had some that looked like Lucille Ball!

  24. Dear Debbie.....

What a wonderful bloggie you have. I feel uplifted just visiting here. Isn't that wonderful?? God is so good. I'm having a tough day missing my Mum......you're so very lucky to still have "all" your parents. We're one in four here.

Bless your heart. Thank you for being a "follower"......isn't that a funny title? We all know you follow Jesus and that's exactly as it should be. You've blessed me, dear girl.

    Thank you ever so much!
