TUESDAY WAS WEARING A COAT OF SPRING....THURSDAY A COAT OF SNOW

This picture and the two pictures below are of THE OKLAHOMA COMMERCE BUILDING.

It is a very beautiful building and from a far distance it looks like a castle.

A "RARE" APPEARANCE OF SARGE SPACEY IN FRONT OF THE DOOR...OPENED........

ON MONDAY NIGHT WHEN AT 1000PM THE TEMP WAS 76 OUTSIDE.......SNOW EARLY

THURSDAY

Thank You for visiting this cold day. This will be early am Friday when I post this and we will be

on our way back to Oklahoma City for Amy's PET Scan. I will see what the freeze did to the

Beauty of Spring in OKC.

Tuesday was a beautiful day with the splendor of Spring: The Red bud Trees were wearing

swirling skirts of pink, the Ornamental Pear Trees were wearing tuxedos of white and

the Hycaniths were wearing bold purple.

THEN CAME WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY.......freezing temps with some ice and snow!!!

My Daddy lost all the blooms on his three year old Almond Tree...they didn't get Almonds last

year... the "squirrels" destroyed them......they lost the blooms on their Peach and Apricot Trees.

With the few days of warm weather the trees wanted to burst forth with Spring as much as we

wanted Spring to come.

That is why I will not rush to my flower gardens...It is very sad to watch your garden freeze

and you will loose money.

I also do not want to disturb my seeds that are waiting to grow...I love wildflowers.

Have a wonderful day and I hope you enjoy the pictures of Spring.

Hugs

  2. There are many springs when my beautiful magnolia tree is just starting to bloom, and then we get snow! It just kills the buds and my beautiful tree doesn't really bloom that year! It's heartbreaking, BUT there's always next year!

I'm hoping this year is not one that we get snow in April!

Have a lovely day, I pray everything goes well with the pet scan!

  5. Hi Debbie,

My thoughts exactly....it is hard to see the cold temps again when we thought they were over. Last year I lost some plants and hoping that none will die this year. The commerce building does indeed look like a castle...how pretty. Hope ya'll are doing well and have a GREAT weekend!!!

    Hugs & Blessings,

  12. The pictures are so pretty! We had a huge Bradford Pear that came down during a gentle rain. We replaced it with a Red Bud. Both trees are so beautiful in bloom, but the Pear had an unpleasant fragrance.

  14. Same kind of weather here in Birmingham, but without the snow this week. The week we had snow, we had tornados on Friday, snow on Sunday, and 72 by the following Wednesday. Crazy.
