PLEASE PRAY FOR MELANIE

I LOVE YOU AMY!

ANDREW GRADUATED TO HEAVEN ON
DECEMBER 15, 2009, AFTER A VALIANT BATTLE
WITH THE cowardly disease called cancer.
HE WAS AN AMAZING YOUNG MAN. I DID NOT
KNOW HIM OR HIS MOM, MELANIE, IN PERSON,
BUT I GREW TO LOVE HIM AND MELANIE
THROUGH HER BLOG. HE WAS ONLY TWELVE YEARS OLD AND HE LOVED TO SKATEBOARD.
I AM SURE HE IS SKATEBOARDING ON GOLDEN STREETS NOW AND I HOPE HE HAS MET AMY.
THE ABOVE PICTURE IS OF HIS DAD, MOM, AND ANDREW. IT WAS TAKEN AT CHURCH.
THERE YOU CAN MEET THIS AMAZING YOUNG MAN THROUGH HIS MOTHER'S HEART.
WE ARE PRAYING FOR YOU MELANIE AND YOUR BEAUTIFUL "FAMILY OF FIVE."

  5. Oh Debbie,
My heart is breaking for this poor family. We will keep them in prayer. Their faith will see them through this. How wondeful that he and Amy will be spending Christmas with the Lord. I hope you are doing well my friend. Please send me your email again so I can write to you. I know I have it written somewhere but lost it.
    Blessings, Loretta

  13. I recently read of this familie's story through their blog. How tragic it is when someone so young loses their life, and after such suffering and fighting so. I will most definitely say a prayer for the family. You still find your way into my prayers daily too, Debbie. Take care.

  14. I feel the same. Debbie. I met Melanie through her blog and grew to love her and her Andrew. I am filled with sorrow as I was when Amy left. I grieve with both families now.

  15. I feel the same way, Debbie. I grew to love Melanie and Andrew through all his fighting with the demon Cancer. I feel her loss just as I did yours when Amy left. I am grieving for both families now.

  16. Oh, how sad. I am so angry at cancer, angry that it exists, it's a blight and it makes no sense, no sense at all to me...I just hate it...

  17. Cancer takes another. That is such a horrible disease and it doesn't hit just older people either. Thanks for letting us know. Still praying for you and will add Andrew's family.

I wonder if Amy and Andrew have met in Heaven - I'd like to think so.

  20. Sweetie, I just wanted to thank you for poppin' in with your very sweet and generous comment. We spent the first year with our daughter in and out of intensive care due to a congenital heart defect. We faced two open heart surgeries and many other procedures during her young life. The hospital staff really does become family. She was blessed with a miracle but my heart goes out to the families who go through the loss of a child.

Charity is the mother of baby Ian you see in some of my posts. I praise God every day. She was just given a twenty per-cent chance to live through her last surgery.

Take care and my prayers are with you. In the words of old Granny Clampett, "Ya'll come back now, ya hear!!!"

  21. Dear Debbie, you are a wonderful and thoughtful person. Thanks so much for all of your caring- even when you have suffered so very much with your loss of Amy. I may not share your faith, but I can still offer my support and love to anyone who suffers. All my best to you.

    Sue.

  22. Dearest Debbie.. It has been so long since I've sat at my computer. The move was not an easy one for me, and I think its toll came in many forms.. But it is good to be back, and catching up with everybody I've missed so much. I am so sorry to hear this cruel disease took another. My heart goes out to both you and Melanie.. Having read back, I LOVE how you've decorated Amy's resting place. God bless you for the wonderful mother you STILL are to Amy! My thoughts and prayers are with you and yours. Love and hugs... ~tina

  23. Hello Debbie, I am so glad that you found my blog, left me such a beautiful message and became a follower...because I was then able to find you, I love your blog, I have visited a few times without leaving comments because well life kept calling me back, but I will tell you this, it made me cry, smile and eased my heart like I know you would understand. I hope we both find away to get thru this Christmas for all those we still have with us, may you have a blessed one filled with the love of Family, good friends, a warm home and may you always have laughter in your house and heart! Besos, Rose

p.s. My heart goes out to Melanie, her husband and her family, may they feel Andrew near them always.

  24. Debbie, I just wanted to stop by to let you know that I am still praying for you and your family. I'm sure the Christmas season is a very difficult time for all of you. You know, when I read about Andrew, I cried, just as I cried for you when I read about Amy. It's impossible to explain to others how we feel about each other in Blogland and impossible for others to understand that we could grieve for someone we never met. But with our loss of Amy and of Andrew, I have grieved as if I knew them personally. Andrew is probably teaching Amy how to skate board, and Amy is laughing, and neither is in pain. Love ya, laurie

  27. Maybe it's because we are Celebrating Jesus Birth and all the Hope and Promise that He brings.... maybe it's because we all want our family Home for Christmas... Maybe it's because Jesus was born to save us from the sins of the earth and what a better time to travel to His Eternal Home than for the most Joyous Holy Day of all, The Celebration of Jesus Birth. Whatever the reason for God calling his Children home this time of year, may you find Peace in knowing that there is a Celebration of souls in Heaven beyond our imagination. What more could we want for our loved ones than to be out of pain and in the most precious hands of all, the hands of our Almighty God.
May the Peace, Love, Hope and Joy of the Blessed Christmas Season fill your hearts today and always. Blessings to you and yours. Love and Light, Nina P
