THANK YOU FOR YOUR PRAYERS

AS YOU ALL KNOW FROM THE UPDATES ON MY SISTER SHERRY'S BLOG,
AMY HAD HER TEST ON TUESDAY AT MERCY HOSPITAL, IN OKC.
THE TEST WAS CALLED A CEREBRAL ARTERIOGRAM. THE TEST WAS
SUCCESSFUL ACCORDING TO DR. TYTLE...A VERY BRILLIANT MAN.
THE TEST TOOK OVER TWO HOURS...THEY DO THE ARTERIOGRAM
THEN INJECT A RADIUM DYE IN SMALL AMOUNTS AND YOU LAY
ON A TABLE AS THIS MACHINE TRACES THIS DYE ALL THROUGH THE
BLOOD VESSELS OF YOUR RIGHT CAROTID AND BRAIN..
DR. TYTLE SAID THAT AMY WAS IN THE RARE 20% THAT HAVE
BLOOD VESSELS THAT FEED THE RIGHT AND LEFT SIDE OF THE BRAIN.
SHE CAN SUCCESSFULLY HAVE THE SURGERY THAT WILL INVOLVE
TAKING THE LEFT CAROTID ARTERY. PRAISE GOD FROM WHOM ALL
BLESSINGS FLOW...
NOW AFTER THE TEST SHE BEGAN HAVING VISUAL DISTURBANCES
IN THE LEFT EYE. DR. TYTLE CAME AND CHECKED ON HER RIGHT AWAY.
THE PER CENTAGE OF HER HAVING A STROKE WAS ALMOST NEAL.....
AMY HAS MIGRAINES THAT CAUSE VISUAL DISTURBANCES......THEY
RECOVERED HER OVER 5 HOURS......I STAYED WITH HER TUESDAY-
FRIDAY....GOING HOME ABOUT 0100 SATURDAY MORNING.....BUT SHE IS
STILL HAVING VISUAL DISTURBANCES IN THE LEFT EYE AND THIS IS
NOT HOW HER MIGRAINES ROLL. I WILL SET UP AN APPOINTMENT
FOR MY EYE SPECIALIST TO SEE HER.

THIS IS THE ART SCULPTURE OUTSIDE MERCY HOSPITAL. IT IS SO PRETTY.

AMY AND I WANT TO THANK EVERY ONE OF YOU WHO STOPPED WHAT YOU WERE
DOING AND PRAYED FOR AMY AND HER FAMILY. MY SISTER SHERRY, TOLD ME
TO NOT BE CONCERNED WITH BLOGGING AND SHE WOULD KEEP ALL OF YOU UPDATED
AS MUCH AS SHE COULD.
THANK YOU SHERRY FOR REQUESTING PEOPLE PRAY AND PRAY THEY DID.
I WANT YOU ALL TO KNOW WE FELT EVERY ONE OF YOUR PRAYERS
AND IT MADE A DIFFICULT SITUATION EASIER FOR AMY.

"I WILL GIVE YOU BACK YOUR HEALTH AND HEAL THY WOUNDS," SAITH
THE LORD.
~JEREMIAH 30:17
ASHLEY,
THANK YOU FOR YOUR WORD FROM THE LORD. IT MADE US ALL CRY
WITH JOY:
AND HE SAID UNTO HER; DAUGHTER BE OF GOOD COMFORT, THY FAITH HATH
MADE THEE WHOLE; GO IN PEACE.
~LUKE 8:48

ONLY GOD HIMSELF WHEN HE KNITTED AMY TOGETHER IN MY WOMB WOULD
KNOW TO INCLUDE EXTRA BLOOD VESSELS THAT WOULD SUPPLY BLOOD FLOW TO
BOTH SIDES OF HER BRAIN........THE MIRACLE WAS ALREADY THERE BEFORE SHE
NEEDED IT. GOD IS SOOOOOO VERY GOOD.

YOU KNOW I INCLUDED THE BUMBLE BEE FOR A VERY GOOD REASON.
IT IS SCIENTIFICALLY IMPOSSIBLE FOR THE BUMBLE BEE TO FLY
BECAUSE HIS BODY IS TOO BIG FOR HIS WINGS TO SUPPORT HIM BUT YET
HE FLIES AND FLIES VERY WELL, IF YOU WATCH HIM IN THE GARDEN.
I USE TO HAVE A BUMBLE BEE PIN THAT I GAVE TO LADIES WHO HAD
SITUATIONS IN THE NATURAL THAT JUST LOOKED LIKE IT WAS NEVER GOING TO
FLY BUT THROUGH GOD, FRIENDS, PRAYER, AND NEVER GIVING UP....THE
BUMBLE BEE FLIES EFFORTLESSLY.

I HEARD I MISSED A TEA PARTY WITH THE ARIZONA GIRLS. I AM SO VERY
SORRY I DID NOT GET TO ATTEND YOUR TEA PARTY BUT I CAN SEE YOU
HAD LOTS OF FUN AND FRIENDSHIP. MARTY, WHEN YOU HUGGED MY SISTER, YOU
HUGGED ME. I HEARD ALL ABOUT HOW MUCH FUN YOUR TEA PARTY WAS
AND I WAS SO PLEASED MY SISTER WENT....SHE WAS BLESSED.

THANK YOU AS ALWAYS FOR SPENDING A PART OF YOUR DAY VISITING ME.
I SIMPLY DO NOT HAVE THE WORDS TO THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH FOR
PRAYING FOR AMY, ME, MY HUSBAND, OUR SON, AND SHERRY, HEIDI, DESTINY, ISABEL,
AND THE WHOLE FAMILY BUT MAINLY AMY.....SHE IS THE LIGHT OF OUR
FAMILY.

  5. Debbie, so happy to hear the good news about the arteriogram. But concerned about the visual disturbances. I am so glad that you and Amy were able to just rest and decompress after the stress of it all. Yes, Sherry did a great job of keeping us informed as she received the news, she passed it on and helped many anxious people concerned about Amy. Nerve-wracking situations are easier to bear if you feel you are getting the information.

I love that sculpture outside of the hospital, it is as if everyone there is getting a beautiful bloom to lift their spirits.

Oh, the precious bumblebee! How I love them! Thank you for including a bumblebee in your post, I had almost forgotten them out in this desert!

Thoughts and prayers continuing for you, Amy, your family, Leila, and all who are in need.

  20. My Dear Precious Debbie!
Where is your cursor? I am not seeing flowers, butterflies? Put that back. I love you sweetie and our 3 hour visit was so delightful. I have needed you more than I can begin to tell you. You are my rock of gibraltar, you pull me along when I feel I can no longer tread, and you inspire me to be a beautiful Christian woman in my everyday life. You make me laugh when I feel like crying and you make me smile when just before you called I was wearing a frown. Oh my precious angel, I love you more than you could ever possibly know. Thank you for being the sunshine in my day, and for allowing me to feel the love in my heart. You are my guardian angel. Thank you for calling when you knew I needed you most, even though you had troubles of your own. We truly feel each other's pain, for not being twins. Have a wonderful blessed day today. I am praying for you all, and I know God is listening to us. He truly is listening. I love you honey, and I am so glad I touched your heart with my post. I felt a need to put the mermaid off another day. I was being tugged about writing this post, so here it is. I love you Sunshine, Your Sis, Sherry

  21. Debbie-Praise God. Psalm 46:10. I will continue to pray. Psalm 56:3. I heard on the radio there are 366 verses in the bible that says Do not fear/be afraid, one for each day plus one extra...do you think he is trying to tell us something....if only we could recite from memory each one each day.

  22. God really is great and He always knows what's best for us. Thisis good news Debbie. Though with regards to her sight, we do have to pray still and hope it is only temporary.

I didn't know about the story of the bumble bee. How inspiring. Well, now I know and thanks to you.

(yes, I'm familiar with Twiggy. I like her short cut and she's pretty. Mama mentioned her when I was young and I have a very very short haircut. How I wish I could pull such a haircut now, but I can't :-) )

  24. Hi Debbie, I hope you and Amy are doing ok...I was thinking about you both today when I saw a beautiful Butterfly in my Butterfly bushes. Sherry had said that Amy likes Butterfly's. I hope Amy's sight is going to be ok......I haven't stopped praying or thinking about you and your family and we will all see this through with the grace of God. Sherry has been wonderful about telling us about you and Amy and keeping us all up to date. Sherry and You are such strong women, I can only hope that if something like this ever happens to someone I love that I would have the strength and courage and will that both of you show everyday....Hugs, Jennifer

  26. Dear Debbie, It was such JOY to read about the good results of your daughter's test. Yes, it was my niece, who had cancer -- when she was only 16. She's now a junior in college, and doing just fine! I rejoice every time I see her; her name is Grace, how fitting.

I would be honored to join you as a follower. I want to keep up with Amy's good progress!

As for affording big ironstone pitchers -- I'm darned lucky I got mine from my mother and my mother in law. If I had to buy them, well... I wouldn't have them! :-)

  27. Amy is truly blessed.....from the womb, as you said. I prayed this morning at about 5:15 am while still in bed for all those who are needing prayers. I just felt the need to have some serious prayer going out this morning, chickee. I am full of faith that this sweet girl can indeed be healed if her faith is strong, sugar. Let her know this ol' lady in Idaho is thinking of her and praying for her.

Everything just looks so beautiful. Yeaahhh Debbies home today. I hope you got some much needed rest. Please keep me posted. I will have my phone with me at work tomorrow. I have a couple of meetings but I will be taking it with me. I hope Dr. Zuwig can enlighten us to what is going on with Amy's left eye. I continue to hold down the fort with my faith and I so know God is healing her more every day as we speak. She has such a story to tell. I hope she is writing it. 33. I was so happy to hear that Amy passed the test she needed. I hope her migrates/vision get better soon. You also asked about some hanging baskets on my post. I'm fairly certain they are petunias. The City must fertilize them like crazy because they are gorgeous all summer long, every year!

  34. My husband and I read this post together. We both care about your beautiful family and you. You are a friend of my friend (God) I am your friend.
Your words today were a drop of water on a thirsty soul. I have had a terrible migraine all day. I have some brain scares and they cause issues that are so humiliating (I am suppose to say humbling) but that is how I feel today.:)
It meant a tender upholding embrace and as my sweet man said just what I need to hear today.
    Thank you.
I look forward to sharing our path together.

  36. Good Morning Sunshine!
I am so happy you loved my quilt on the table. You know me and my blue. It just lays on the table perfectly and with the vase I was so happy. I am sending you pics via email of the little tea cabinet and my shelf where you can see the large candlesticks for what they really are. So beautiful and you will love it. I was so exhausted this morning I could hardly get up. My foot continues to give me trouble. I have to get better so that I can go with Jamie to Sedona on the 7th of August. The swelling was worse yesterday than it has ever been, and I don't know maybe I am up to much on it or keeping it down for to long at a time by sitting at the computer. Whatever we need to figure it out. I will pray for that appointment today with Dr. Zuig that he can see Amy and find out what is going on with her eye. Have a wonderful blessed day my sweet Sister Debbie. I love you so much and miss you. I wish I could be there to walk with you through all of this, but you know I walk with you in your heart no matter where you are. Thank you for being my sister, and for loving me for who I am. Love You Always, Sherry
