THE BELLA SINCLAIR AWARD

THE BIRTHDAY GIRL

JULY 6, 2009

THE HOME TOWN BUFFET

I WAS SURPRISED, OF ALL OF AMY'S FAVORITE PLACES TO EAT

SHE WOULD CHOOSE THE BUFFET TO EAT AT. HER BIRTHDAY,

WAS A DIFFICULT DAY FOR HER AND SHE FELT TOO BAD TO EVEN EAT

I TOLD OUR HOSTESS IT WAS AMY'S BIRTHDAY AND IT MADE AMY MAD

WE JUST TIED THE BALLOONS TO THE A-1 BOTTLE AND PLACED IT IN

THE CENTER OF THE TABLE.......I HAD THE PRIVILEGE TO EAT AT THIS SAME
RESTAURANT IN PHOENIX, ARIZONA WITH MY SISTER....ONLY SHE HAD
CONNECTIONS WITH THE BEE WHO BROUGHT THE BALLOONS AROUND.
WE DIDN'T GET THE BEE IN PERSON BUT WE HAD THE BEES PRINTED ON AMY'S
BRIGHTLY COLORED BALLOONS.
AMY CHEERED UP WHEN LEILA MADE A CARD TO TIE TO THE BALLOONS. IT
SAID IT WAS AMY'S 33RD BIRTHDAY AND GAVE AMY'S CELL NUMBER TO CALL
SHOULD THEY BE THE ONE WHO FOUND HER BALLOONS....SHE IS WAITING TO
SEE HOW FAR THEY WENT...........
ON THE WAY HOME SHE SAID, "MOTHER, THANK YOU FOR TELLING THEM
IT WAS MY BIRTHDAY. I LOVED LETTING THE BALLOONS LOOSE."
THAT WAS MUSIC TO MY EARS:
"THANK YOU MOTHER!"
I HAVE SO WANTED TO DO SOMETHING, ANYTHING, THAT WOULD MAKE HER
LIFE EASIER...HAPPIER...FULL OF LOVE....FUN....

THIS WAS ONE OF THE PICTURES MY DH TOOK AS AMY, LEILA, MY MOTHER,
AND ME WATCHED THE BALLOONS KEEP FLYING HIGHER AND HIGHER INTO
THE SKY
WE ARE NOW AWAITING THE SCHEDULING OF "THE TEST"
WE HAVE HEARD SO MANY THINGS AND WHAT WE THOUGHT WAS SAID, MIGHT
NOT HAVE BEEN SAID BUT WE ARE ALL ON THE SAME PAGE NOW..............
THIS TEST IS PERFORMED JUST LIKE AN ARTERIOGRAM BUT A BALLOON IS
PLACED IN THE CAROTID ARTERY ON THE LEFT SIDE TO BLOCK IT.
THEY NEED TO KNOW THAT THE RIGHT CAROTID ARTERY CAN DO THE WORK
OF BOTH CAROTIDS. IF IT CANNOT, SHE WILL BEGIN TO SHOW SIGNS OF
HAVING A STROKE.
IF THIS HAPPENS, DR. MEDINA WILL NOT EVER DO THE SURGERY.
THE SURGERY AMY IS TO HAVE IS CALLED A RADICAL NECK DISSECTION....
IN THIS SURGERY, THEY HAVE TO TAKE THE CAROTID BECAUSE OF
THE CANCER CELLS....EVEN IF THEY WERE TO JUST SCRAPE THE CAROTID CLEAN,
THEY CANNOT BE SURE, EVER, THAT CANCER CELLS WERE NOT LEFT BEHIND
TO START GROWING AGAIN WHEN ONLY 19% OF PEOPLE DIAGNOSED WITH
SQUAMOUS CELL EVER LIVE 2 YEARS HAVING THE MOST RADICAL PROCEDURES
DONE TO SAVE THEIR LIFE.
THANK YOU, EVERY ONE FOR THE BEAUTIFUL BIRTHDAY WISHES LEFT FOR
AMY AT BARBARA'S, THE PURPLE GOAT LADY'S BLOG.
IT MEANS SO VERY MUCH THAT SO MANY PEOPLE ARE PRAYING BOTH FOR
AMY AND HER FRIEND LEILA, WHO IS ALSO GOING THROUGH CHEMO THERAPY
FOR UTERINE CANCER.

QUEENMOTHER MAMAW BESTOWED TO ME THIS BEAUTIFUL AWARD.
AND READ HER BLOG. TAKE A CUP OF TEA AND DON'T HURRY BECAUSE SHE
SHARES A LOT OF WISDOM. YES, SHE HAS BEAUTIFUL FLOWERS, A GORGEOUS
KOI POND, AND IS BEAUTIFUL BUT SHE HAS DONE BRIEF MISSIONARY WORK,
SHE WAS AN R.N. WHO WORKED FOR THE VERY DOCTOR WHO TREATED HER
PRECIOUS SISTER AS SHE BATTLED CANCER. HER SISTER LAID HER LIFE
DOWN AND WENT HOME TO THE LORD BUT SHE FOUGHT VALIANTLY.
SHE IS SO VERY WORTHY OF THIS AWARD AND I KNOW SHE WILL RECEIVE
MANY, MANY MORE.
I LIKE WHAT SHE SAID ABOUT THE AWARD.
ALTHOUGH EVERYONE DESERVES AN AWARD FOR THEIR BLOG, THERE
ARE CERTAIN ONES WHO HAVE BLESSED US IN A SPECIAL WAY THROUGH
ENCOURAGEMENT, A KIND GESTURE, OR IN WAYS THAT WILL REMAIN
PRIVATE.
THESE ARE MY NOMINEES FOR THE BELLA SINCLAIR AWARD:

SHERRY...http://countrywingsinphoenix.blogspot.com
OLDE LADY PENNIWIG...http://penniwigs.blogspot.com

AMOUNT OF PEOPLE. IF I NOMINATED YOU AND YOU ARE AN AWARD
FREE BLOG THAT IS OKAY...JUST KNOW I FELT YOU DESERVED THIS AWARD.
"I THANK MY GOD EVERY TIME I REMEMBER YOU."
~PHILIPPIANS 1:3

I CAME BACK TO THIS POST TO CORRECT A MISTAKE I HAD MADE BUT I
HAPPEN TO KNOW AND LOVE THE LADY I MADE THE MISTAKE ON
AND SHE PROBABLY LAUGHED AS LOUD AS I DID..................
OLDE LADY PENNIWIG IS NOT CORRECT..........I CAN'T QUIT LAUGHING
THE CORRECT IS
OLDE DAME PENNIWIG

LADY PENNIWIG
THUS I CAME UP WITH OLDE LADY PENNIWIG

  1. My Dear Precious Sister, I love this post. I love seeing Amy, I wish I could just reach right out and grab her and hug her. She looks so precious with her balloons. Love her hat. Leila looks good too, God Bless them both. You are so deserving of that award. I am so thrilled that Queen MM nominated and presented you with it. Now I don't know for sure what I have done to deserve it, but it is my very first award and I am so thrilled and I am going to post it proudly. Thank you sweet sister for thinking I am deserving of this. I hope you enjoyed my story today. I thought of you as I proudly wrote about our Magnificent Tree that was grown with the love from Heidi. I love you and miss you so much. I am praying, praying, praying. God is going to give us a miracle! All my love, Your Sis, Sherry

  4. Debbie, please know I'm thinking of you. While I have never had a child facing cancer, my aunt did, and we have had other family and friends who have been there. I hate cancer with the heat of a thousand blazing suns! Sending you much love, my friend...

    XO,

    Sheila :-)

  6. Yay, the Birthday Girl! What sweet pictures. We don't have that buffet here in West Texas but I wish we did, the bees on the balloons are just so cute.

I hope someone finds those balloons and the card. But balloons can go so far. Right now, some polar bear might be looking at them, or maybe some little old lady in the Alps.

I hope the carotid test will be soon and go quickly and smoothly and show the right one is clear. Because Amy has her whole life ahead of her and cancer needs to GET OUT OF HER WAY and let her live unemcumbered.

Amy is one classy gal, that is so obvious. Pure class, pure heart, pure fight.

Thank ye fer the award, I will proudly display it on my sidebar!

You and Amy and Leila are in my thoughts and prayers.

  7. Birthdays are special, and I agree with Amy: I'd rather not have the restaurant people know it's mine. However, once known, I enjoy the fanfare.

I know that she's going through a scary time, but it's good to know that God is with us, even during the darkest times.

My place does not furnish the plastic trash bags; the tenant does. It's quit clean, and so far, I've seen no bugs.

I'm not sure what you're talking about... "So, God..." has not been removed? you can link to it by visiting my profile page... I don't have it on my sidebar right now, because I haven't been posting there as frequently and it was always at the bottom... it will return to the sidebar when I feel like I have something to say... just so you know...

  13. Debbie,
More than anything else, I want to serve the Lord. Your words that you left on my post today, made me more joyful than you know. Congratulations on your award and Thank you for this award.

I think that letting the balloons go is symbolic of how we always have to surrender everything to the Lord. It looks the Birthday girl enjoyed her special day.

  15. Debbie, thank you for stopping by my Christmas Memories in My Heart blog. I entered you in the CIJ Tablescape Party tablecloth giveaway to be held July 25.

I am so happy that you stopped by because it led me to your wonderful blog and allowed me to meet your precious daughter Amy and her friend Leila. I look forward to getting to know them both.

I am sorry that I missed the birthday party, but I do send belated birthday blessings.

I lost my precious son, Mickey on July 6, 2003 as he grew tired of his lifelong battle with numerous health problems. He was 23 when he went to live with Jesus. He is now my guardian angel. I wear a necklace with an initial M that has a silver angel atop it. I love for people to comment on it as they assume the M stands for mother since my name starts with an F. It allows me to share a little bit about Mick and his wonderful life with us.

May God keep you and your family in his arms.

  26. Hello Debbie,
Just stopped by to say hello, and was thinking about you. I wish the balloons would have come to phoenix. I wonder where they went? How much fun to dream about where they might land. Almost like a bottle with a message in it. I hope Amy got to read all her birthday greetings. That must have been so exciting for her to see everyone was thinking about her.....such a great testimony of life. Anyway my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family....

  27. What a fun Birthday and to release the ballons to find some soul, rather than let them deflate at home. Messages sent for love.

I shall pray for the tests to go easy and be clear, I am sure Old Dame is fine with your correction. But, she still might have thought of flailing but doubt she did.

    Smiles, Cyndi
