JOHN WAYNE WAS A MAN OF WISDOM...NOT JUST AN ACTOR

XOXOXOXOXOXOXO...AMY...XOXOXOXOXOXOXO
ALWAYS  IN  OUR  HEARTS
HAPPY  FALL  BABY  GIRL

I  DISCOVERED  A  NEW  BLOG  WHEN  I  WENT  TO

THE  BLOG  OF  TONY  CURTIS.   I  HAD  NO  IDEA  THIS

ACTOR  WAS  AN  ARTIST  AND  HE  WAS  MORE  PROUD

OF  HIS  ARTWORK  THAN  HIS  ACTING.   I  ENJOYED

SEEING  THE  SLIDE  SHOW  OF  HIS  ARTWORK.  I

THOUGHT  IT  WAS  INTERESTING  THERE  WAS  A

LOT  OF  WHIMSICAL  CATS  IN  HIS  PAINTINGS  AND

OFTEN  INCLUDED  A  GOLDFISH  IN  A  BOWL.

I  FOUND  A  COMMENT  BY  A  LOVELY  LADY  NAMED  KC.

HER  BLOG  IS:

THERE  IS  A  WHOLE  LOT  OF  HISTORY  ABOUT  THE

SILVER  SCREEN  ON  HER  BLOG.

SHE  HAS  A  LOT  OF  QUOTES  MADE  BY  ACTORS.

ONE  I  FOUND  SO  PROFOUND,  I  AM  GOING  TO

PUT  IT  ON  MY  ICEBOX.

CAN'T  YOU  JUST  HEAR  THAT  JOHN  WAYNE  VOICE.

"TOMORROW  IS  THE  MOST  IMPORTANT  THING  IN

LIFE.   COMES  INTO  US  AT  MIDNIGHT  VERY  CLEAN.

IT'S  PERFECT  WHEN  IT  ARRIVES  AND  IT  PUTS

ITSELF  IN  OUR  HANDS.   IT  HOPES  WE'VE  LEARNED

SOMETHING  FROM  YESTERDAY."

~JOHN  WAYNE

THANK  YOU  KC  FOR  YOUR  BLOG.

I  HAVE  LEARNED  A  WHOLE  LOT  FROM  YESTERDAY.

I  KNOW  I  CAN  COME  TO  THIS  BLOG  OR  THE  SIMPLY

DEBBIE  BLOG  AND  I  WILL  FIND  FRIENDSHIP,  EN-

COURAGEMENT,  CREATIVITY,  AND  SOMEONE  WHO

WILL  MAKE  ME  LAUGH,  SOMEONE  I  CAN  CRY  WITH,

AND  MOST  OF  ALL  PRAY  WITH.

I  HAD  THOUGHT  AFTER  AMY'S  ONE  YEAR  ANNIVERSARY

I  WOULD  CLOSE  THIS  BLOG  BUT  I  WILL  NOT.   EVERY  DAY

I  RECEIVE  AN  E  MAIL  FROM  SOMEONE  THAT  HAS  A

LOVED  ONE  SUFFERING  FROM  CANCER.   I  HATE...HATE...

HATE...CANCER  WITH  A  PASSION.

THIS  BLOG  IS  NOT  FOR  THE  FAINT  OF  HEART.  THERE

ARE  VIVID  DESCRIPTIONS  OF  AMY'S  JOURNEY.   PEOPLE

DON'T  KNOW  WHAT  TO  EXPECT.   WE  SURE  WERE  NOT  TOLD

OF  WHAT  TO  EXPECT  AND  THE  EXTREME  SUFFERING

SHE  WOULD  ENDURE.   I  THINK  THAT  MAY  BE  A  REASON

IT  HAS  TAKEN  SOOOOOOO  VERY  LONG  TO  HEAL  FROM

HER  GOING  HOME  TO  JESUS.

GRIEF  IS  AN  ODD  THING.   SOME  FLY  RIGHT  THROUGH  IT.

MR.  SIMPLY  AND  I  ARE  NOT  FLYING  THROUGH  IT.

THIS  HAS  BEEN  THE  HARDEST  MONTH  OF  THIS  ALMOST

ONE  YEAR  JOURNEY  WITHOUT  HER  HERE  ON  EARTH.

I  STILL  CRY  A  LOT.   I  MOURN  I  NO  LONGER  HAVE  A

DAUGHTER...IT  IS  A  HUGE  HOLE  IN  MY  HEART  AND  MR.

SIMPLYS'.   HER  SCHNAUZER,  BOOMER,  WENT  OVER  THE

RAINBOW  BRIDGE  ON  WEDNESDAY.   I  KNOW  AMY  GREETED

HIM.  HE  WAS  OLD  BUT  SO  YOUNG  IN  SPIRIT.  IT  WAS  VERY

SAD.   WE  USE  TO  BABYSIT  BOOMER  WHEN  AMY  WORKED

OR  WENT  OUT  OF  TOWN.   I  TALKED  TO  RICHIE  AND  TOLD

HIM  ABOUT  BOOMER.  HE  LOVED  HIM  ALSO.

RICHARD  LEFT  LAST  NIGHT  WITH  MEGAN'S  RELATIVES

TO  HELP  MEGAN  MOVE  TO  McPHERSON.  RICHARD  CAN'T

LIFT  BUT  HE  WILL  DRIVE  THE  TRUCK.  WE  ALL  TEASED

RICHIE  BECAUSE  HE  IS  ALWAYS  WORKING  AND  MISSES

THE  EXCITEMENT  OF  MOVING.   MEGAN  IS  SICK.

LUCKILY  HER  UNCLE  THAT  IS  HELPING  IN  THE  MOVE

IS  A  DR.   I  DON'T  WANT  RICHARD  TO  COME  HOME

SICK.   I  HAVE  HAD  THE  FLU  SHOT  BUT  RICHARD

HAS  NOT.   I  SUGGESTED  MEGAN  TAKE  THE  FLU

SHOT,  SINCE  SHE  IS  A  TEACHER  BUT  HER  FAMOUS

LAST  WORDS  WERE,  "I'LL  TAKE  MY  CHANCES!"

BOY  HAS  SHE  TAKEN  A  RAZZING  FROM  THE

FAMILY.

MY  OKLAHOMA  STATE  COWBOYS  BEAT  THE

RAGIN'  CAJUNS  LAST  NIGHT  54-28.   THEY  ARE  5  AND

0.   SORRY  WE  BEAT  YOUR  TEAM  MIZ  MOLLYE....

BUT  WE  HAVE  BEEN  PRAYING  FOR  MANY  YEARS  FOR

OSU  TO  BE  AS  POPULAR  AS  OU.  THERE  ARE  TWO

  1. Dear Debbie, Your journey with Amy touched so many people. I was thinking about her recently, as I remembered you telling how much she loved Halloween. I can't imagine your pain, and grief, and that through it all you have been able to keep writing and sharing -- that is a special mission indeed.
My heart's with you, as are so many other hearts.
Peace be with you -- Cass

  4. DEAR DEBBIE,

THIS MUST BE A REALLY HARD TIME FOR YOU. LIFE GOES ON, BUT IT IS HARD WHEN YOU HAVE LOST SOMEONE - EACH DAY IS SO PAINFUL.

I PRAY FOR THE OTHERS AND FOR YOU - THAT YOU ARE ABLE TO HANDLE ONE DAY AT A TIME. AND GOD GIVES YOU SOME PEACE.

    LOVE,

  5. Howdy Sweet Debbie
Thank you for your recent letter it came at a time when I was in a fog about to have a melt down of my own.
Your card were the hands holding on to the end of the rope for me until I could regain my strength .
I carried your letter to work with me and than at home I kept it on the kitchen table during the day . Currently it sits on my night stand about to move to the refridgerator or where ever it is needed.
God bless you Debbie for reaching out to me !
Thank you again for your special Angel .
You and your family have weighed so heavy on my heart as this October arrived ,but I just didn't seem to have the words to let you know how much your precious Amy Dawn was still leading and guiding all those who visit your blog to go forth in faith seeking out God's leading and the connections He desires to make in our lives through your blog.
I am so glad you have kept it open .
God will let you know when it is time for something else until that time May he continue to annoint your precious hands that you may hear and respond to the path he is showing you .
Blessings to you and Richard and all the rest of your dear family .
I will be praying for all the best for you and yours through the coming days of new growth and great changes.

  7. Hi Debbie, Thanks for visiting my blog. Here's the answer to your question about the Happy Halloween Printable Banner instructions: I used 8 feet of 3/8" ribbon. You could use 1/8" too. A ribbon punch is just a hole punch that is shaped like a skinny rectangle. You can find one at Michael's or any craft store. So glad so many are enjoying it. I am working on a Thanksgiving printable and hope to have that up in the next week or so.
