AN OUTDOOR WEDNESDAY STORY ABOUT FRIENDS

THANK YOU FOR JOINING ME FOR OUTDOOR WEDNESDAY.
THE QUEEN AND CREATOR OF OUTDOOR WEDNESDAY IS SUSAN.
QUEEN SUSAN IS A LOT OF FUN. PLEASE VISIT HER AT
AND THERE YOU WILL FIND A VERY IMPORTANT LIST...
THE QUEENS PARTICIPATION COURT OF
OUTDOOR WEDNESDAY LOVERS!
A COUPLE OF DAY'S AGO I PUT OUT A POST FOR ALL THE LADIES
AND GENTS IN BLOG LAND TO CHECK THEIR WALGREENS FOR A MOUTH RINSE
CALLED "PREVENTION." ACTUALLY I TYPED PREVENTIVE BUT THAT WAS THE
WRONG NAME.
AMY USES THAT MOUTH RINSE TO HELP WITH THE THRUSH AND SORES THAT
GET IN HER MOUTH FROM CHEMO THERAPY. THE RADIATION THERAPY DESTROYED
HER SALIVARY GLAND. THIS GLAND KEEPS YOUR MOUTH MOIST. BELIEVE IT OR
NOT THE MOISTURE, SALIVA, DOES SOMEWHAT HELP FIGHT DENTAL CARIES.
WITH THE SALIVA GONE FROM HER MOUTH, SHE HAS TO KEEP A BOTTLE OF
WATER WITH HER AT ALL TIMES. WHEN SHE WAKES UP OF A MORNING HER
TONGUE IS STUCK TO THE ROOF OF HER MOUTH......
THE PREVENTION MOUTH RINSE ALSO HELPS TO KEEP BACTERIA OUT OF HER
MOUTH. SHE HAS TRIED EVERY MOUTH RINSE....THE DR. HAS PRESCRIBED
SEVERAL, INCLUDING THE MAGIC ONE, CHASITY ASK ME ABOUT. FOR AMY THE
ONLY ONE WAS PREVENTION, WITH THE GREEN LABEL, THAT WORKED FOR HER
AND THEY ARE DISCONTINUING IT AT WAL GREENS.

ALL YOU BEAUTIFUL LADIES ANSWERED THE CALL.
YOU GOT ALL PRETTIED UP AND WENT TO YOUR LOCAL WAL GREENS

SOME OF YOU, LIKE MY SISTER SHERRY, HURRIED TO WAL GREENS

ON YOUR LUNCH HOUR AND SOME OF YOU ON YOUR WAY HOME FROM A LONG

DAY AT WORK...... TRYING TO BEAT THE RUSH HOUR, LIKE SHANNON

SOME OF YOU LOOKED AS HIGH AS YOU COULD.......HOPING YOU DIDN'T
MISS SOME LITTLE PHARMACY THAT MIGHT HAVE IT.....AND HOPE IT
WAS NOT OVER LOOKED ON THE SHELF.

YOU ASK EVERYONE THAT CAME YOUR WAY, IF THEY HAD HEARD IF
IT WAS BEING SOLD AT ANY WHERE BUT AMAZON. COM. IT IS NORMALLY
5.00 AND SOMETHING A BOTTLE AND THERE THEY HAVE A LOT YOU
MUST BUY....12 BOTTLES FOR $122.00 AND SOMETHING.....THAT IS OVER
9.00 A BOTTLE.....I ORIGINALLY THOUGHT IT WAS 10 BOTTLES BUT WHEN WE
WENT BACK TO THEIR SITE IT SAID 12 BOTTLES. MAKING A PROFIT IS
GREAT BUT IF WAL GREENS WAS SELLING IT FOR 5.00 AND SOMETHING A BOTTLE....I'M
SURE THEY WERE NOT TAKING A LOSS...DO YOU FIGURE

SOME ASK THE CRABS......
HAVE YOU SEEM ANY PREVENTION FOR SALE

SOME ASK THE VEGETARIANS AND THE SLOW MOVERS.......
HAVE YOU SEEN ANY BOTTLES OF PREVENTION FOR SALE
A LADY WHO IS REALLY SICK NEEDS IT
WE WOULD BE SO GRATEFUL IF YOU WOULD GET THE WORD OUT

SOME WALKED TO THEIR WAL GREENS.....SOME DROVE WHATEVER WAS
AVAILABLE IN THE DRIVE WAY
SOME STOPPED AND ASKED THEIR FRIENDS ABOUT IT

SOME LOOKED TO THE LEFT
SOME LOOKED TO THE RIGHT
SOME LOOKED UNDER THE SHELF
BUT THEY ALL LOOKED WITH THEIR MIGHT

PREVENTION.....PREVENTION.....PREVENTION
WHO WOULD HAVE KNOWN
SO MANY PEOPLE WOULD BE LOOKING FOR YOU
WHEN YOU'VE BEEN DISCONTINUED AND DISOWNED

WAL GREENS.....WAL GREENS....

WE COUNTED ON YOU
TO PROVIDE ALL THE THINGS THAT WE NEEDED
FROM SHAMPOO TO MEDICINE, AND YES...EVEN SHOES

THIS IS A PICTURE OF WHAT THE ACTUAL BOTTLE OF PREVENTION

LOOKS LIKE. THEY ALSO HAVE ONE THAT HAS A RED LABEL THAT STATES

IT IS FOR ONCOLOGY BUT AMY COULD NOT USE THAT ONE.....IT BURNED REALLY BAD

My deepest thanks to FLICK R for the use of the pictures

MY DEEPEST THANKS TO ALL THE SWEET LADIES WHO E-MAILED ME
TRYING TO HELP. I THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART
YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE AND YOU ARE LOVED AND APPRECIATED.

MY LOVE TO MY SISTER SHERRY WHO FOUND 3 BOTTLES AND PAID TO HAVE

THEM OVER NIGHTED...ONLY MY TOWN DOES NOT HAVE OVER NIGHT.
AMY SHOULD GET THEM TODAY.
THANK YOU SHANNON FOR PICKING UP 3.........THAT IS ALL WE CAN DO
RIGHT NOW. ONCE AGAIN PHOENIX, ARIZONA HAS COME THROUGH FOR US.

I LOVE PHOENIX AND HAVE PROMISED MY SISTER I WOULD MOVE THERE ONE DAY.

I THINK IT IS SO VERY BEAUTIFUL THERE......LET'S GET AMY THROUGH THIS

AND I MAY JUST MOVE OUT THERE SOONER THAN SHE THOUGHT I WOULD

AS ALWAYS, THANK YOU FOR JOINING ME FOR OUTDOOR WEDNESDAY.
LET'S REMEMBER DANA OF STONE RABBIT....HER

NEW BABY GRAND SON WAS RUSHED BACK TO THE HOSPITAL AND THEY

HAD TO DO A SPINAL TAP. DANA, WE ARE LIFTING YOU ALL UP IN PRAYER

AND KNOW JESUS HAS HIS LOVING HANDS AROUND YOUR PRECIOUS GRAND SON.

SO MANY PRAYER REQUESTS....THE RANDY LOPER FAMILY, LADY KATHERINE,

CYNDI, ROY AND ELISABETH, JEAN, PATRICIA, LEILA AND KORBIE, CHRIS,

  6. I've never seen this type of mouthwash. I'll have to check out the new Walgreens near us to see if they have it. I have a friend who is getting chemo and she uses regular mouthwash. I'll have to pass along this tip. -Jackie

  10. I'm not "horsing" around, I loved all the Outdoor Wednesday pictures...what a cute tale of the Hunt for Prevention told with horses, crabs, and tortoises!!!

Best of all is that at least a few bottles have been found and will be soon in Amy's hands. You and yr sister are an unbeatable combo. When you move to Phx, Phx better brace itself, they aren't used to Oklahoma wildcats out there!!!

Do we know the manufacturer's name of the mouthwash? We could ask them directly for additional bottles. I am sure they would help if possible..

I can't find the right link to send you for the Glen Beck graphic but I don't mind sharing. Just right click and save it for yourself. If I find the correct webiste I'll pass it on to you. It had lots of worthwhile reading.
I have never heard of Prevention and we don't have any Walgreen's around but now I'll be on the lookout for it.
Keeping Amy and all of you in thought & prayer.

  25. Hi Debbie,
I just love this post it is so awesome......I'm still looking it's seems to have become a quest of mine a new mission. I have 3 stores to look at over the weekend, and we looked at 2 today. If I could find the crab or turtle I'm pretty sure they might show me the way.......but I think the Frog is the one who's holding back he knows all.....lol My prayers are with Amy that she stays strong through all this stuff. I think it is truely a wonderful blessing that everyone is looking! I know there is more out there we will find it....

  26. Hi Debbie, one of the powersellers on ebay carries this mouthwash and it is the green one! Two bottles are $8.95 and this shipping is $6.00, so $7.25 a bottle. You save on shipping if you buy 4 bottles.

    Here's the link:

  27. Very creative way of relating the search.I'm not from the US so I am not very familiar of the brand. But your story has a beautiful ending with bottles being delivered. WOuldn't it be nice if the store gets to see this post and think of restocking it with Prevention so that it'll be more accessible to Amy?

  28. No Prevention mouth wash in these parts! :(
    I'll keep looking!

I am so gald to be able to get online for more than a few minutes :)
More troops came home from Iraq this week
and so our poor server gets slammed with all the extra traffic.
No complaints here .Praise God for our soldiers and their families.
Blessings to you today Debbie and your sweet Amy.

    Heavenly Father
I lift up Debbie unto Thee this day and I ask that You would surround her with a host of heavenly angels to guard over her, comfort her and lead her along this path called life.
Surround her with words of love, joy, peace, and hope.
Renew her spirit as well as her physical strength
In Christ name I pray with thaksgiving

  33. In times of need it is nice to have friends to count on. Glad you were able to find the prevention.
Thanks for dropping by my blog.
Answers to your questions:We have goldfish in our pond, it really isn't big enough for koi. The liner is a pond liner. The lightest weight possible. I still had to pleat and staple it. It was very thick and awkward to manipulate but I'm not one to easily give up.
    Have a great day!
